(GettyImages)
Population Decline Despite Growth: Davidson County, a fast-growing area in Tennessee, saw a population decline from 715,884 in 2020 to 712,334 in recent estimates, despite overall growth trends.
Impact of COVID-19: The COVID-19 pandemic caused an "interruption," leading to a sharp population drop of around 15,000 people from 2020 to 2021, as people left urban areas for lower-cost living during economic downturns.
Future Projections: The county is expected to surpass pre-pandemic population levels within one to two years.
