Nashville Film Festival: Running from Sept. 19-25, this festival screens 150 films across venues like Belcourt Theatre, Regal Green Hills, and The Franklin Theatre. Highlights include films from first-time producers and directors, as well as panels and networking events.
African Street Festival: From Sept. 20-22, enjoy a three-day celebration of African culture at Hadley Lillard Park, featuring music, food, a marketplace, and children's activities like drum lessons and mask-making.
Full Moon Pickin’ Party: Hosted by Friends of Warner Parks on Sept. 27, this event combines bluegrass music and nature, offering a night of music under the stars for $25, including three beverages.
Oktoberfest: Taking place in Germantown from Oct. 3-6, this German cultural festival features imported beer, a Pup Parade, a Dachshund Derby, and a Brat Eating Contest.
Tennessee Craft Fair: From Oct. 11-13, Centennial Park will host over 170 artists displaying fine crafts like wood, metal, and glasswork. A great chance to find unique art for your home.
Southern Festival of Books: On Oct. 26, this literary festival offers book lovers the opportunity to meet authors, explore new books, and enjoy live performances and food. Open and free to the public.

Nashville Volunteer Week: Give Back to the Community and Earn Rewards

Event Overview: United Way of Greater Nashville is hosting a volunteer appreciation week from September 14-21, 2024, to encourage community involvement.
Incentives: Volunteers signing up for slots on United Way’s calendar through the end of the year can win prizes, including sports tickets and signed memorabilia.
Opportunities Available: Over 170 local organizations need volunteers, including Metro Animal Care and Control (MACC) and the Nashville Dolphins, offering roles for a variety of skillsets.
Youth Participation: Kids ages 12-15 can volunteer with a parent present, while 16-17-year-olds need a parent’s signature.

12 Hours of Terror Returns to Belcourt for 13th Year of Horror Marathon
