Pups & Pints HOWL-o-ween Festival at Nashville’s oneC1TY

  • Event Overview: Pups & Pints, sponsored by Hollywood Feed, is hosting the HOWL-o-ween Festival on October 5th at oneC1TY in Nashville, a free event benefiting the Nashville Humane Association.

  • Activities: The festival features dog and beer-related activities including a Pup Costume Contest sponsored by Stanley Steemer, trick-and-treating, local pet vendors at the Bark Market, and a doggie spa by Furryland Nashville. There will also be photo opportunities and meet-and-greet sessions with adoptable pets from the Nashville Humane Association.

  • Food and Drinks: Food will be available from Music City Brisket and Chumpy’s Kitchen, and the beer garden will offer selections from Corona and Pacifico. A portion of proceeds from food and drink sales will support the Nashville Humane Association.

The Motley Sets the Stage for Nashville’s Newest Urban Oasis

  • Introduction of The Motley: IPB Properties is set to begin construction of The Motley, a three-tower mixed-use development, in September at the site of an old dairy factory at 1401 Church Street in Nashville.

  • Design and Inspiration: Nashville-based HASTINGS Architecture designed The Motley, which will feature 1,200 rental homes and over 70,000 square feet of commercial space inspired by Nashville's lifestyle, including a public plaza with local shops and restaurants.

  • Phase One Details: The first phase includes a 26-floor residential tower offering 326 rental units from studios to two-bedroom apartments. The development addresses Nashville's growing demand for housing due to its expanding tech and health sectors and educational institutions.

  • Amenities: The project will offer 27,000 square feet of amenities including social lounges, an outdoor pool, a sun deck, co-working spaces, a fitness center, and an indoor and outdoor dog park. Additionally, more than 14,000 square feet of ground-level retail space will be developed in collaboration with Ojas Partners.

  • Artistic Collaboration: The construction site will feature illustrated characters on three 20-feet-tall pillars, created by four artists including Nashville’s Maggie Sanger, to reflect the diverse community interaction expected at The Motley.

  • Positions Available: The hotel aims to fill around 150 seasonal part-time and full-time roles. Positions include Special Events Coordinator, Assistant Special Events Manager, and Special Event Attendant, with opportunities in retail, box office, Delta Riverboat Co., and holiday attractions.

  • Compensation and Incentives: Starting wage is $16 per hour. Seasonal part-time workers who complete the season through January 4, 2025, will earn an additional $1 per hour worked.
